Welcome to the Hanawalt Community - where you’re already a member! Everyone can play a part and we would love for you to get involved.  Many of our volunteers jump in and learn as we go. There’s no need to be an expert in education or any of our events and programs. If you have special skills to offer, an interest in a certain area, or are willing to do whatever is needed to help our Hanawalt students; let us know! To learn more about ways you can get involved, or to sign up, click the “Join The Community” button in the top right hand corner!

About

Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year Hanawalt Community!  We would love to invite anyone interested to get involved this year with the various events and programs that will be taking place.  You do not have to have previous experience or expertise; everyone was a first-time volunteer at one point!   If you have special skills to offer, an interest in a certain area, or are willing to do whatever is needed to help our Hanawalt students; let us know, we would love your help!  There are so many different ways to get involved, from helping plan events and programs that happen throughout the year, helping with after school clubs, volunteering to help with the drop off “Car Rider” lane in the mornings, teacher appreciation, being part of the Hanawalt Community Executive Committee, and so much more!

A new school year can be a lot to take in all at once.  You can click on the “Join the Community” button at the top right hand corner to learn about all the ways you can get involved as well as sign up!

We also encourage everyone to attend the Hanawalt Community meetings.  This is a great way to learn more and provide feedback about committees, events, budgets, and future planning as well as connect with other families and community members!  Meeting dates will be announced in newsletters, on Facebook, and in flyers that go home with students.

If you would like to get involved with the Hanawalt Community overall planning process, we would love for you to join the Executive Committee! This group meets monthly to plan events for the year, work with school leadership and committee leads, plans the year budget, Hanawalt Community communications, the Spirit Store, and so much more!  We are currently looking for a co-vice-president and additional at-large members.  More information on each role can be found through the “Join the Community” link as well!

We look forward to working with you!
