Registration Assistance: If you would like help with registration, contact Ryan Westerkamp at ryan.westerkamp@dmschools.org or 515-242-8147.

Registration Process: Registration takes place through the DMPS Community Education digital platform. Caregivers must create a free account for each student to enroll in a club. Each club serves a designated grade-level range and students must be in the corresponding grade level to enroll.

Limited Enrollment: Capacity is limited and clubs fill on a first come, first serve basis. Please register for no more than two clubs and register early to reserve your student’s spot. Use the wait list option if a club is full; we will contact you if a space becomes available.

Changes/Cancellations: We are not able to accommodate changes after registration closes. Please be sure your student is available for club meeting dates.

Logistics: Hanawalt staff support the transition from school dismissal to clubs and then to Metro Kids Care or transportation pick up after the clubs. A light snack is available.

Transportation: When registering, caregivers can indicate a need for transportation or volunteer to provide informal ride shares. While the club program is not able to provide DMPS bussing, we are happy to connect families to make sure transportation is not a barrier to participation. Volunteers who are able to provide transportation are an important part of making clubs accessible to all students in our Hanawalt community.

Club Providers: Clubs are led by outside organizations and instructors, parent volunteers, and Hanawalt teachers.
